The Brownshirts are Coming (and it’s not Halloween)

Most authoritarian regimes recognize that the best means to control their general population is to pay their militaries and secret service better than the general population. Money talks and money controls, especially in a struggling or semi-developed economy that has a legacy of haves and have-nots.  Moral compasses always point to the money.  Money, and the ability to have power over others, is the basis for attracting new recruits who value the salaries and the ability to actually bully and threaten and hurt the general population (revenge for their formative years) while getting paid for it. The profile of the new ICE enforcers most likely include expertise at violent video games, road rage, yelling at referees at their children’s hockey games, snapping off windshield wipers of cars and pulling the wings off of flies.

Anyone who needs a little background check on how the use of officially sanctioned violence for political purpose works should read the history of the Kristallnacht and for extra credit, the background to the arson on the Reichstag blamed on the Communists.

The ICE-confronting protestors have been labeled as elderly, lunatic left, Soros-backed activist and antifa.  Note to Republicans: Antifa means anti-fascist which means opposing anti-fascist means you are a fascist which historically was the Italian version of the Nazis. 

Another Note: The “Nazi” label is linked to their official title NSDAP – Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei translated as National Socialist German Worker’s Party.  So considering the Nazis attacked the Communists during their pursuit of power, they were clever enough to include socialist and worker in their party title to rob the Communists of their partial claim to socialism and full claim to the worker’s concerns.  (One could argue that Nazis are were, more or less, a nationalist German party similar to the Italian fascists.
