A Different Direction for a Happy Ending

The Hallmark Channel, known for their pleasant endings and holiday cheer dramas, has new competition in a different channel that can be seen as an alter ego.  Anyone that has experienced a full binge watch on Hallmark sometimes might have to take an antidote to all the goodness and wholesomeness.

The new Hellmark Channel will focus on a more authentic, darker reality of love, family life, holidays and human emotions.  The typical plot misunderstanding in a Hallmark movie in the first 15 minutes or last 15 minutes where the a disappointment or a surprise occurs will be replaced by real life drama linear and straightforward (death disease, despair) with no twists – no surprise reveals that some character is or is not really a prince-princess, or is going to stand up to a real estate mogul parent and quit the family job they have been groomed for.

The Hellmark Channel will match Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas with a Deadline to Drama Despair with 24-hour programming of unhealthy family dysfunction, bakery shop bankruptcies, predatory real estate development and royalty members being horrible humans, a more common occurrence than not.
